Technical Assistant

To support geoscience & engineering professionals in the tasks of managing ongoing oil exploration, delineation development studies and work programmes.

• Provide support to technical staff during drilling operations, such as loading of wireline logs and compiling mudlogging information.
  
• Assist technical staff prepare information required by State Governments, for example drilling well cards, well completion reports and geophysical interpretation reports.
  
• Updating and managing development & delineation work program database(s) to track Exploitation program KPIs.
  
• Provide technical support to team members in preparation of oil investment proposals, such as generation of cross-sections and log signature maps.
  
• Contribute to tracking of base oil field production and updates to production forecasts and reserve reviews.
  
• Prepare and collate input to regular departmental reporting requirements.
  
• Provide assistance with technical software such as Geolog, dbMap and Petrel, including data loading
  
• Maintain effective communication with other Operations and SBS groups to maintain the accuracy of primary data and improve upon current practices & procedures.
