This $7.7 billion investment will see coal seam gas (CSG) piped from world class fields to Gladstone where it will be converted to liquefied natural gas (LNG).
Santos is embarking on a major opportunity to develop an LNG facility in Gladstone in partnership with PETRONAS. The Gladstone LNG (GNLG) development will enable Santos to take coal seam gas to international gas markets. Whilst we currently produce approximately 25% of Australia’s coal seam gas, we expect reserves and production will continue to grow. Santos is a major operator with 40,000km2 of CSG acreage in Queensland and New South Wales.
